Design and construct a remote-controlled robot capable of fighting a one on one tournament.
Dimensions and Fabrications:
- The machine should fit in a box of dimension 400mm x 400mm x 400 mm (l x b x h) at any given point during the match. The external device used to control the machine or any external tank is not included in the size constraint.
- The robot will be weighed before each game. With all the accessories mounted the weight limit is 15 kg. All pneumatic tanks/source and batteries should be on board. The weight of remote controller will not be counted.
- The destructive round will start in the semi-finals.
All robots must have easily visible and controlled mobility in order to compete. Methods of mobility include:
- Rolling (wheels, tracks or the whole robot).
- Non-wheeled robots having no rolling elements in contact with the floor and no continuous rolling or cam operated motion in contact with the floor, either directly or via a linkage. Motion is “continuous” if the continuous operation of the drive motor(s) produces continuous motion of the robot. Linear-actuated legs and novel non-wheeled drive systems come under this category.
- Jumping and hopping are not allowed.
- Flying (using airfoil, helium balloons, ornithopters, etc.) is not allowed.
Robot Control Requirements:
- The machine can be controlled through wireless remote only. The power supply should be on board only. Refer below for further details on battery and power.
- There should be binding capability between transmitters and receivers. The remotes with such facility will only be allowed.
- The team must have at least four frequency wireless remote control circuit or two dual control circuits which may be interchanged before the start of the race to avoid frequency interference with other teams. The case of any interference in the wireless systems will not be considered for rematch or results.
- Remote control systems from toys might be used. Remote control systems available in the market may also be used.
- Nonstandard or self-made remote control systems must first be approved by the organizers.
- Referee decision will be the final decision
- Any changes in the rules during the gameplay will be pre-informed to the participants
- Participants should not argue with other participants
- If there is any problem then participants should contact the organizing committee through the team volunteer assigned.
- The game will be a league based game system. Top four teams will qualify for the semi-finals.
- The akhada field will be bound by ply reducing the area of fall. Contestants can take the support of the boundary during the struggle.
- All participating team members will be provided with a certificate of participation.
- If any team is sponsored by a college or organization, that organization will also get the certificate of participation. Teams need to verify the name of their sponsors (if any) during the time of registration to claim this certificate.
